The Waiting Period is the period during which Emerald Life (Pty) Ltd will not pay a claim. All waiting periods start from the Acceptance Date. When a new Life Assured is added to the Policy, all Waiting Periods will apply to the new Life Assured. If you increase a benefit, Waiting Periods will also apply to the amount by which the Funeral Benefit Amount is increased. The premiums are payable during the Waiting Periods for the Benefits.
